Please support GMWatch | Help us oppose the global push to deregulate GMOs | GMWatch has been in the thick of the GMO debate for almost a quarter of a century but never have GMO developments reached such a critical point.
On top of the longstanding GMO/pesticides drive that we’ve long been resisting has come a global push to deregulate new GMOs, sustained by a new wave of misleading hype. And in some countries deregulating gene editing is admitted to be merely a prelude to deregulating all GMOs.
At exactly this critical juncture, institutional funders and many bigger NGOs have taken their eye off the ball, shifting their focus to other causes and concerns and treating GM as a fringe issue or distraction – despite the fact that there are few things more crucial than the food we eat and the type of farming we practise. Our cause is not helped by the technical nature of much of the material and arguments we have to engage with.
As a result, GMWatch urgently needs your help with funding our core work of keeping citizens, policymakers and campaigners on top of the latest developments on GMOs and associated pesticides worldwide, in a reliable and technically accurate way.

What they say about us:
"GMWatch is a great source of in-depth information on GMO issues, including scientific and political developments in the EU and globally. They not only explain why GM technology fixes don't work but also point to the real solutions, both in breeding and in agriculture more generally. GMWatch contrasts the hypothetical industry 'solutions' with the proven answers to food and farming problems – such as agroecology. Nobody else is providing this information.” – Franziska Achterberg, biodiversity and GMO campaigner for the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament __________________________________________________________ Website: http://www.gmwatch.org Profiles: http://www.powerbase.info/index.php/GM_Watch:_Portal Twitter: http://twitter.com/GMWatch Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/GMWatch/276951472985?ref=nf |
