Where NOLA Eats

Hello again, New Orleans food fans! This week, we get a preview of the Oak Street Po-Boy Festival, where dozens of local businesses will tempt the public with their versions of the iconic sandwich. Check out timely ideas for places to shop for fresh local seafood in New Orleans. A wine shop on Magazine Street is "really, really nice," Ian McNulty reports. The building that once was the Egg Roll House in Fat City faces demolition. And we've picked 40 of the best po-boy restaurants in town for our brackets: Vote here.

Finally, classic New Orleans dressings make the Thanksgiving table complete. Find your favorite dressing recipe in our big roundup.

1. Sandwich generation?

The Po-Boy Festival returns this weekend with a pantheon of po-boy creativity along a seven-block stretch of Oak Street. From lobster to beef cheek to oyster mushrooms, take a look at what's on the menu.

2. A line on seafood.

Oysters delivered to your door, an open-air seafood market and a fishmonger in Mid-City: We've got the word on three places to consider for fresh seafood at the holidays, and beyond.

3. Wait! There's more.

A Magazine Street wine shop is a delight from the bar to gourmet snacks. The Egg Roll House building in Fat City will be demolished to make way for the expansion of a Thai restaurant.  And it's time to vote in Nola.com's new po-boy bracket.
