In the world of rocketry simulation, RockSim is an indispensable tool for designing and analyzing rockets. However, like any software, RockSim files are not immune to corruption, which can lead to frustration and wasted time. If you find yourself with a corrupted RockSim file that's giving you trouble, don't panic! In this practical guide, we'll help you identify and fix the issue so you can get back to your rocket sims and projects.

Valkyrie Soft Links

Soft Link

The new Soft Links from Valkyrie Recovery Systems are designed to replace traditional metal quick-links. They have several key advantages over steel links for connecting your rocket parts together:

  • Stronger than Steel Links

  • Lighter Weight

  • Gentle on Other Components: The soft, pliable material of the Soft Link is less likely to damage delicate rocket parts compared to metal quick links, that can rattle around during launch.

  • Adjustable Strength: The strength of the Soft Link can be easily adjusted by creating more or fewer loops when attaching it.

  • Thermal Protection: The Soft Link's fluffy design offers increased heat shielding to help protect sensitive recovery system components, like the parachute.

  • Shock Absorption: The flexibility of the Soft Link allows it to stretch and flex, absorbing some of the force generated when the parachute rapidly deploys.

  • Versatile Attachment: The cord-like design of the Soft Link enables it to be connected to components with smaller attachment points.

Two sizes are available, so check them out today, you won't be disappointed.

There is also an optional 3rd loop for putting the parachtue into the middle of chord. Three lengths are available at 20, 25 and 30 feet long. Customer TestimonialCustomer Comments

“I have ordered from several other on-line rocketry companies, but none can compare to the thoroughness of what Apogee has to offer. The way in which their website is laid out makes it easy to find what you are looking for, regardless of your skill level. Plus the vast array of how-to videos gives you more information beyond the instructions included in the kits. I was having trouble with the fins on my latest build holding tightly to the tube, so I watched a couple of videos that gave me the perfect solution. And I can't say enough about the professionalism of the staff when I've called for various reasons.”

I'm now actively seeking writers for articles to appear in this newsletter. And I want unique and cutting-edge articles because that is what you want to read, right? I realize this, so to get articles from outside writers that have the same level of quality, I'm going to have to pay a lot of cash to make it worth it for them. So I've come up with a compensation package where I'll pay up to $350 for good how-to articles.

Are you a writer, and does that interest you? That is a lot of cash! Far more than you'll get by writing for other magazines. And with over 23,000 worldwide subscribers, if you write for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter, you'll gain a lot of notoriety. Writing for the Peak-of-Flight Newsletter is a great way to show off your rocketry projects and your technical expertise, at the same time as helping out other rocketeers. Imagine how great you'll feel knowing that you made a difference to the hobby.
