'Nothing is enough to ease the pain.' The man who fatally shot a New Orleans police officer will spend the rest of his life in prison. Darren Bridges' formal sentencing this morning in the shooting death of Officer Marcus McNeil came after McNeil's widow and other family members testified what life is like without him.

Church change: St. Timothy on the Northshore has one of the largest congregations of any United Methodist Church in Louisiana. But a big change is coming to the Mandeville church and its 6,000-or-so members, Sara Pagones reports.
