Seguin police on Monday revealed that an armed, masked man who told police he was on his way to a church to "fulfill a prophecy" was looking for the First Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas. Authorities also said that the gun 33-year-old Tony Albert II was armed with when he was arrested Sunday was a 9mm Smith and Wesson MP handgun that was reported stolen from a home in Vidor, Texas. Seguin Police said it's unclear if Albert was involved in the burglary and that the Vidor Police Department is conducting a separate investigation into the incident. The Texas Rangers, FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting Seguin police in their investigation into Albert's intentions that morning. Police said he was wearing a surgical face shield and tactical-style clothing, and was carrying a loaded gun and extra ammunition early Sunday morning when he was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held on $100,000 bail, according to online records. Seguin police said Monday that, so far, they're unsure if additional charges will be filed. Here's everything we know about Tony Dwayne Albert II Police went to the 2400 block of West Kingsbury Street around 7 a.m. after a witness reported seeing a man with a gun. The First Baptist Church of Vidor is more than 250 miles from where Albert was arrested. Vidor, Texas, is located just outside of Beaumont, Texas. Authorities initially declined to say which city Albert thought he was in, due to the ongoing investigation. "We're extremely grateful (for the person who called 911), and I know the citizens of Seguin are (grateful), regardless of if he thought he was somewhere else," Brown said. "(Albert) could have carried out a shooting, or he was capable of doing that, because he had a loaded handgun." Police on Sunday notified officials in Vidor of their investigation into Albert. The Vidor Police Department said in a Facebook Post that Albert's family said he "has a history of mental illness." Brown said it's unclear what exactly Albert's intentions were, namely whether he intended to carry out a shooting.
