| | | Republican Todd Young of Indiana wins in one of the nation's most competitive Senate races | Republican Todd Young is the projected winner of Indiana's Senate race, according to the Associated Press, helping his party as it tries to hold on to control of the chamber. Young defeated Democrat Evan Bayh, a former Indiana governor who held the Senate seat for 12 years before retiring in 2010. Young has served in the U.S. House since 2011.
