MPR News PM Update

Sept. 19, 2022

By one metric, summery weather has lasted almost four months in the Twin Cities this year. The daily high temperature in the Twin Cities has reached at least 70 degrees every day since May 26. And with highs in the 80s again Tuesday, that will make 118 straight days of temperatures of 70 degrees or above.

The previous record for consecutive 70-degree or warmer days in the Twin Cities was set in 2018 with 108 days. So it appears we’ll break that record by a full 10 days this year.
