In your job search, your resume should reflect the job you want, not the job you have, by focusing on the soft skills you have mastered. "If you're ready to finally secure a senior management position, but your resume only talks about projects and supporting tasks and doesn't mention one word about your leadership skills and your ability to manage or develop a team, then you're not clearly showing why you're ready for the management position, writes career coach Adunola Adeshola.

Transgender people are finding that tech is a good career fit because it "is focused on innovation and the next big thing, there's a lot of room for people of all identities," said tech entrepreneur and academic Kortney Ziegler, who started the nonprofit Trans*H4CK in 2013 to provide training to those moving into the tech field. Similar organizations have popped up in Argentina and Brazil.

The rise of remote working due to the pandemic has prompted between 14 million and 23 million Americans to plan relocations to new regions or cities, an Upwork survey has found. Just over 20% of those planning to relocate live in major cities, and 54.7% of them want to move two hours or more from where they live.
