Poll: Utahns like Trump's policies better than him personally

A whole bunch of Utah voters are conflicted about Pres. Donald Trump, a new poll finds. They may like his political policies, but they don't especially like him.In a new survey, Y2 Analytics finds that 42 percent of Utah voters "generally disagree" with Trump over his political policies and his personal political style. They don't like anything about him.

The VP debate. The nation is hoping for a reasonably decorous debate tonight that focuses on policy and the contrasting political philosophies of the very conservative Mike Pence and the very liberal Kamala Harris. Will we get that kind of debate? I think there will be less name-calling and interruptions than the presidential debate, but there will be many very sharp exchanges.

Utah Foundation has released the fifth in a series of Utah Priorities Project briefs looking at Utah voters' top concerns. Public health / COVID-19 pandemic ranked fifth in the summer survey, and drove the major concerns around the top four priorities. Public health / COVID-19 pandemic was the top issue for more than 25% of respondents - the single most likely top issue. It was a top-five issue across almost all demographic groups.

Watch this video to learn how to vote by mail
Next week, registered voters across Utah will receive their ballots in the mail. The Utah Republican Party has prepared a short video showing citizens how to vote by mail. The video is essentially non-partisan and both Republicans and Democrats will find it informative. In a press release, GOP Chair Derek Brown said:
Republican AGs will criticize Harris in advance of VP debate
A few Republican attorneys general, including Utah AG Sean Reyes, will celebrate debate day in Utah by holding a press conference to blast Democratic VP nominee Kamala Harris. Republican AG Chair Jeff Landry, from Louisiana; AG Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas; and Reyes will speak at 8:30 a.m. at Grand America Hotel. They will talk about Harris' time as AG of California. Their press release says:
