The ancient universe and its machinations will never get old — metaphorically speaking, that is, as a new show weaving art and science together proves. Read Renée Reizman’s review of the exhibition, in which artists drew from the California Institute of Technology’s archives to cast scientific discovery in a refreshing light.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Avedis Hadjian walks us through the Pochen Biennale, where painful and poignant explorations of shared Eastern European history pay particular attention to Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine. Here in New York, the spirit of a neighborhood comes to life through collage, zines, and felt dumplings on view at the Flushing Town Hall in Queens, Staff Writer Maya Pontone reports.

More below to fuel your Tuesday, including visitor caps at Pompeii and the Trevi Fountain, Albuquerque art spaces rebuilding after wildfires, and the literary rabbit hole of Jennifer Savran Kelly’s debut novel Endpapers.
