Meditation sounds like a good idea right now. In her latest piece, Julie Schneider shares a tool for “coping with ever creeping anxiety”: an amazing new podcast devoted to sound.  
We can only hope for better in 2021. Su-Ying Lee asks queer artists to share their New Year’s resolutions — specifically what “they’d like to see made by arts institutions and communities.” It’s worth reading.

Country music icon Dolly Parton may one day be immortalized with a statue at the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville.
Democratic Rep. John Mark Windle introduced a bill on Tuesday, calling to erect a statue “to recognize [Parton] for all she has contributed to this state.” We concur.
