Hello, Tuesday is when we round up the best of our planning and property news. Revolution has turned full circle and is returning to Preston after an eight-year absence, re-opening in the city later this month. The 600-capacity venue, in the former Wall Street and Fishers building, will represent a £1.5m investment and create 50 local jobs. Elsewhere, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee will be celebrated in the naming of a £10m extra-care facility for the elderly - the first of its kind in South Ribble. Plans for the 72 apartment Jubilee Gardens complex, with its own café/bistro, balcony garden and amphitheatre, have now been submitted by the council to its own planning committee. In other news exasperated residents have been left in limbo after a decision over controversial plans for a major new housing estate was deferred for the second time in as many months and dozens of office units are set to be built in rural Preston. Finally, we’ve got our usual look at some of the top properties on the market. Thanks for reading, Adam adam.lord@nationalworld.com | |
