Portland Bans Facial Recognition Tech This northwest city isn't messing around. Portland's new ordinance bans not only governmental use of facial recognition technology, but also its use by private companies which, let's be honest, is the scarier prospect anyway. 2. Google Maps Finally Available on Apple Watch If you've been waiting (like we have) for Google's Maps app to show up on your Apple Watch since the announcement last month, the wait is over. Now you can use the "better" maps on your Apple-branded wrist gadget. 3. Facebook releases... Facebook (Campus) Mark Zuckerberg famously developed Facebook at Harvard as a replacement for student directories. Now the company is coming full circle as it releases Campus, a... student directory only available to college kids. 🦑 Go Deeper Being able to crosspost from Instagram to Facebook may seem like a simple little feature that could make your life a bit nicer, but Sascha Brodsky found out that it could, in fact, impact your privacy in unexpected ways. 🎱 By the Numbers Watch out, YouTube  Data: Sprout Social Looking at the stats, it seems like Facebook and Instagram (owned by Facebook) are doing pretty well among young adults, with YouTube still the one to beat (but not by a whole lot). 🤓 Nerd Out "Honestly?
