Positive portal power

A fourth straight SEC team, either Tennessee or Texas A&M, is guaranteed to win the College World Series this weekend.

The last team to do it, LSU in 2023, is trying to get back in line by hitting the transfer portal hard.

The Tigers dipped into the portal and pulled out another prized player Wednesday, landing versatile hitter Eddie Yamin from Dayton. Check out Koki Riley's patented LSU baseball portal tracker (well, not patented but he does a great job so it should be) to see who has LSU picked up and who has left during the transfer period.

Not to be left out, the LSU softball team went portal hunting and has picked up a transfer who was a two-year starter at an SEC rival. We'd love to tell you who and from where, but then you wouldn't click on the link, would you?

Finally, I've got my own little tracker at the bottom of each Olympic update story. Check out this story on former LSU tennis player Neal Skupski, going to his second straight Olympics for Great Britain, to see the list of former LSU athletes heading to Paris — it's now up to nine.

Thanks for reading, subscribing and being patient with all of my random silliness.

What say we do this again Saturday?

Scott Rabalais
