How To Elevate Your

State Of Mind

One day you’re in traffic and it bothers you. The next day you are in the same traffic, and it doesn't. Is it the traffic making you feel a certain way? If it was the traffic, you would respond the same way all the time and everyone on the planet would respond the same way?

One day two people are in traffic and they both have a low state of mind. They see each other as the cause of the traffic as they strive to occupy the same spot on the road at the same time and are now angry at each other.

Two other people on the same road have a high state of mind and one lets the other car get in front of them as they smile and wave to each other.

The truth is that it’s never your circumstance that makes you feel a certain way. It’s always your state of mind. When your state of mind is low, the circumstance will bother you. When your state of mind is high, it doesn’t, and you rise above it and move forward.

The most common question I receive when talking about mindset and leadership is how to get to a higher state of mind.

The question and answer are so important to our mental toughness, mental well-being and success that I’m doing a free webinar with Ed Mylett to share a bunch of ways to raise your state of mind. I hope you’ll join us for it and invite your friends, colleagues and kids who will also benefit greatly from it.

I also share a bunch of answers including, The Answer, extensively in my new book "The One Truth" that comes out next week, June 27th.

Until then, I want to share with you one of the tips to raise your state of mind today!

Take a deep breath. Inhale through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth. Then repeat. While you are doing this practice gratitude. When you appreciate you, elevate. You elevate your mind, mood, your performance, and the people around you. Stress lowers your state of mind while appreciation elevates it. Also consider the billboard that stood high above the traffic in Los Angeles. It said YOU ARE THE TRAFFIC.

When you realize you aren’t separate from others on the road of life and that we are all ONE, your state of mind goes up immediately.

Remember this truth and I hope you read and benefit from "The One Truth".
