LA Rams Coach Sean McVay On The Most Important Factor in Being a Strong Team
He was the youngest coach in the NFL in a city that celebrates the stars who shine and shuns those who lose their luster. He had all the pressure in the world to succeed but Sean McVay, the head coach of the LA Rams, didn't focus on the pressure or the expectations of the outside world. At 31 years old he focused on his job of building a culture and team. He focused on building relationships with his staff and players. He focused on getting his staff and players to think differently. He focused on creating success from the inside out. He didn't look for city of Angles to love him. He loved his players and focused on them, and as a result he became a leader who shined. He's not only the second most winning coach in the NFL over the last five years but 4 of his coordinators have become NFL head coaches. He's not just winning. He's growing and developing winners. After losing a Super bowl to Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots a few years ago, Sean humbly worked to be an even better leader and his team won the Super Bowl this year. I interviewed Sean McVay the other day and here is a clip from that interview.
