Good evening,

Good evening,

So much for the mid-year blues!

Street Talk was knocked off its feet on Wednesday with a bit of everything – listed company M&A, private equity buyouts, a stack of microcap equity raising, an after-market block trade and even some senior moves inside Macquarie Capital.

It’s that time of year when things are happening and, from our reading at least, it’s private equity leading the way in dealflow.

In PE deals on Wednesday, we reveal a new $900 million exit for Sydney-based tech firm Potentia Capital.

We also revealed Swiss giant Partners Group’s $1.3 billion bid for Perpetual’s corporate trust unit, and TPG’s agreement to acquire iNova.

In blocks, it was Barrenjoey and Aitken Mount helping Glencore out of Yancoal, while we also have news on a potential new fund at Franklin Templeton.

Happy reading,
Anthony Macdonald, Sarah Thompson and Kanika Sood
