Learn to make Wild Grass Baskets with Ruby Taylor of Native Hands. Ruby has a wealth of experience in using natural foraged materials, teaching ancient skills, and working closely with the land, and she brings them to Atelier next month.

You'll learn what grasses to harvest, how to process them, and how to use coiling techniques to create beautiful and useful baskets.

Textiles: A Sense of Place with Samantha Boot. Inspired by our seafront location, Samantha has developed a pallete of natural dyes especially for this workshop.

Creating your own library of sample pieces, Samantha will guide you through using the natural cottons and a variety of hand-stitching techniques to create a tonal wall hanging.

We've got just a few remaining copies of this exclusive calendar, designed by Hugh Ribbans and printed at Hell-box Letter Foundry on their (almost) 200-year-old press. Printed on Favini Alga Carta paper sustainably made from marine algae, and finished with a metal eyelet ready to hang. Get one while you can!

Winter Opening Hours

Our new winter opening hours are 11am-5pm Friday - Monday (or by appointment if you'd like to visit outside of those times). We'll be back open seven days a week when things start to warm up. Come and see us down on Brighton Beach, at 165 Kings Road Arches BN1 1NB.

Of course, the online gallery and shop remain open 2-7!
