With as much as affordable housing has been in the news in Lafayette — and for all wrong reasons — this month’s Lafayette Power Poll got straight to the point.

What is your opinion about the state of affordable housing in the area?

It’s a problem, they said. Some even went as far as calling the issue the most pressing item facing local leaders right now.
