International Design in October With the auction on October 13, we put the spotlight on the diversity of International Design. Half a dozen designs by Charles and Ray Eames will be offered in the fall auction: from the red-colored 'Children's Chair', 1945 (estimate 1.800 - 2.200 €) to the famous Lounge Chair '670' with Ottoman '671', 1956 (estimate 3.000 - 3.500 €). The chapter of US-American design continues with three armchairs by Harry Bertoia. There is a 'Bird chair' with ottoman from 1950 and two 'Diamond chairs' in pop colors, each produced by Knoll International, New York (estimates from 400 €). In the field of German design, we are pleased to offer the striking 'Red comfortable chair' by Eckhart Muthesius from 1931. Designed for the palace of the Maharajah of Indore and executed by Vereinigte Werkstätten, Munich, the piece, equipped with lights, ashtray and cigarette compartments, comes from a re-edition of 25 + 1 copies. Internationales Design im Oktober Mit der Auktion am 13. Oktober stellen wir die Vielfalt des Internationalen Design in den Vordergrund.Ein halbes Dutzend Entwürfe von Charles und Ray Eames werden in der Herbstauktion angeboten: vom rot gefassten ‚Children’s Chair‘, 1945 (Schätzpreis 1.800 - 2.200 €) bis zum bekannten Lounge Chair ‚670‘ mit Ottoman ‚671‘, 1956 (Schätzpreis 3.000 - 3.500 €). Das Kapitel des US-amerikanischen Designs wird mit drei Sesseln von Harry Bertoia fortgesetzt. Es sind ein ‚Bird chair‘ mit Ottoman von 1950 sowie zwei ‚Diamond chairs‘ in poppigen Farben, alle von Knoll International, New York, produziert (Schätzpreise ab 400 €), im Angebot.Im Bereich des Deutschen Designs freuen wir uns über den auffallenden ‚Roten Sessel‘ von Eckhart Muthesius aus dem Jahr 1931. Für den Palast des Maharadscha von Indore entworfen und von den Vereinigten Werkstätten, München, ausgeführt, stammt das mit Leuchten, Aschenbecher und Zigarettenfach ausgestattete Stück aus einer Re-Edition von 25 + 1 Exemplaren.
