| Modern Art in December Nearly 200 works are available in our Modern and Contemporary Art Auction on December 9, 2021. We are especially pleased to offer you two sculptures by Ernst Barlach. The 'Russian Beggar Woman II', ca. 1932 in a bronze version (estimate 30.000 - 35.000 EUR) and the figure 'Russian Beggar Woman with Bowl' made of stoneware is estimated at 5.000 - 6.000 EUR. Barlach discovered the motif of peasants and beggars for his artistic work on a trip to Russia, it marks the breakthrough in his artistic career. Also noteworthy are the works of Pablo Genovés and Chrystel Lebas: the digigraph 'Juicio Final', 2011 (print 2012) (estimate 8.000 - 10.000 EUR) and the chromo print Untitled (#4) from the series 'Blue Hour', 2005 (estimate 9.000 - 11.000 EUR). In his work titled 'Last Judgment', Genovés invents a gloomy, oppressive image of the deluge destroying our cultural achievements in the form of a baroque church. French photographer Chrystel Lebas portrays the enchanting, tranquil beauty of the forest with a carpet of blossoms, presenting the viewer with a sublime ideal image of nature. Read more... |

| Moderne Kunst im Dezember In unserer Kunst-Auktion der Modernen und Zeitgenössischen Kunst am 9. Dezember 2021 erwarten Sie knapp 200 Werke. Wir freuen uns besonders darüber, Ihnen zwei Skulpturen von Ernst Barlach anbieten zu können. Die 'Russische Bettlerin II', ca. 1932 wird in einer Bronzeausführung aufgerufen (Schätzpreis 30.000 - 35.000 EUR), die Figur 'Russische Bettlerin mit Schale' aus Steinzeug wird auf einen Schätzpreis von 5.000 - 6.000 EUR taxiert. Das Motiv der Bauern und Bettler entdeckte Barlach für sein künstlerisches Schaffen auf einer Reise nach Russland, es markiert den Durchbruch in seiner Künstlerkarriere. Hervorzuheben sind außerdem die Werke Pablo Genovés’ und Chrystel Lebas’: Die Digigraphie 'Juicio Final', 2011 (Abzug 2012) (Schätzpreis 8.000 - 10.000 EUR) und der Chromogendruck Ohne Titel (#4) aus der Serie 'Blue Hour', 2005 (Schätzpreis 9.000 - 11.000 EUR). Genovés erfindet in seiner Arbeit mit dem Titel ‚Jüngstes Gericht’ ein düsteres, bedrückendes Bild einer zerstörerischen Sintflut, die unsere kulturellen Errungenschaften in Form einer barocken Kirche überschwemmt und zerstört. Die französische Fotografin Chrystel Lebas porträtiert die berückende, stille Schönheit des Waldes mit einem Blütenteppich und stellt dem Betrachter ein sublimes Idealbild der Natur vor Augen.
