Hello,

Monday lunchtime is when we wrap up our main headlines from the weekend.

A man who was killed in a crash on the M6 at the weekend has been identified as a 19-year-old from Preston.

Police say he was the driver of a Ford Fiesta which veered off the carriageway and struck a lamppost at the Junction 31 slip road at Samlesbury at around 3.10am on Sunday.

He has not been named at this stage but police say his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.

Elsewhere, a major blaze in Lancashire saw firefighters at the scene for 24 hours.

Ten crews from across Lancashire were called out to the incident in Heysham on Saturday morning.

A large number of wooden pallets were already well alight and the fire had spread to adjacent wasteland, including shrubbery and woodlands.

We’ve also got the scenes from the Preston Military Show as families flocked to Fulwood Barracks and the latest from PNE after their disappointing defeat at home to Birmingham.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
