The main updates include:
- Greater transparency on how data is collected and used.
- Increased clarity on the type of information collected.
- Increased rights, controls and choices for EU citizens over how personal data is used â and guidelines on accessing these controls.
Weâve always been committed to keeping your information safe.
This is just a formality.
I am NOT going to ask you to opt in again to receive my emails.
âWhy notâ I hear you cryâ¦!
Because for a lot of purposes I actually do not need to. Where my lawful ground of processing is legitimate interests (such as in sending you value based, non marketing emails) then, as we know, you don't need consent.
And for marketing purposes, if I do legally need to get your consent to send you marketing emails and I haven't already obtained a GDPR standard of consent from you, then I'm happy not to send you marketing emails unless or until I have legally obtained that GDPR standard of consent.
If it is the case that I legally need to obtain that consent from you for my (very few) marketing emails, I'm not going to be requesting that consent in this email - because frankly I'm sure you have had quite enough of people asking you that this week.
Where I am legally able to email you, you can always opt out of any emails at any time.
Although saying that, Iâm sure you wonât want to, as over the coming months, Iâll be keeping you updated with:
- how to grow an even larger list of herbs
- adding to the materia medica
- information on getting your fall garden started
- how organic slams it and why you really should do more than "THINK" about this "GMO" thing
- more on growing your herbal medicine chest
- more on the list of herbs to use with animals (farm and pets)
- ever more posts on the blog on health (especially for those of us geting to the midway mark (uhem... I REFUSE to use the word "senior" just yet)
Thanks so much for being a part of this ongoing journey with me. I truly love sharing the monthly garden calendar, blog articles, research and other herbal related opportunities with you through email, on the blog and on our facebook page.
