News, products, marketing and merchandising tips for the
front end of community pharmacies

This year I will delegate…Here are six resolutions to keep your team engaged in your front end all year round:

1. Twice a year, for a month at a time, we will feature a different supplement either on the drop-off or pick-up counter. The six supplements to feature are CoQ10, B-complex, vitamin D, an immune booster, a probiotic, and a multivitamin. (We will confirm that the retail sticker will not be placed on the cap of the supplement.)

2. At least once a month, we will post a short video, ranging from 1 to 3 minutes, promoting our services or products.

3. Once a month, we will update our social media platforms to ensure our pharmacy is properly represented and easily found through web searches. This includes platforms such as Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, our website, and our business Facebook pages.

4. We will create and install a sign promoting our products or services on the exterior of our building, positioned to be seen as customers approach the drive-through window.

5. Using a calendar planner, we will prepare a monthly message for the digital sign. The messages will include a mix of service promotions, product highlights, and community updates. Community messages could range from supporting the local team and announcing local church or club dinners to sharing major league scores or simply wishing everyone a "Have a great day!"

6. Monthly, we will update at least two OTC categories while ensuring that no item will be removed from the section without first having the OTC manager or the PIC's ok.
