Two resort school workers were seriously ill in hospital after contracting Covid-19, a local headteacher said.
View email online | | | | | Nov 23, 2020 | | | | | | Good evening So it seems that we have broken the back of the rising number of Covid cases we were seeing before we entered our second nationwide lockdown at the start of the month. But while we have made huge progress, it is not enough for all restrictions to be lifted. And so on December 2 we will return to the tiered system of restrictions we had been under throughout October and most of September. In fact, it seems like we were barely out of the first lockdown before we were back in restrictions again. It is likely that this will be the way of things for some time to come yet. Because while we are celebrating another vaccine being found to help in the fight against Covid, it will take a long time before we can be vaccinated and return to something more like normal. Later this week, the Prime Minister will be announcing the plans put in place for all four nations of the UK for Christmas. And while there will be some loosening of restrictions to allow us to meet with family, we shouldn’t expect too much. The battle is not won yet.
