Proud Democrats, let's look at some of the realities of the state that we love, and the country that we live in. In the June 27th, 2024 Presidential Debate, the news media is now reporting that 34-time convicted felon Donald Trump lied every 100 seconds. Compounding this news, the United States Supreme Court quietly overturned a 40-year-old precedent and stripped executive agencies of their authority to interpret laws.

This news is significant for Oregon and for the entire nation. The Supreme Court's conservative majority effectively stripped federal agencies like the EPA and FDA of their ability to use their expertise, education, and experience to set the rules and regulations. Then, they gave themselves that authority.

Adding to this fact the latest decision by the Supreme Court to give full immunity to presidents for any official act they commit while they are President, our democracy is on the precipice!

This power move is just the start of the dangerous, ultra-conservative Project 2025. We must fight back together while we still can. Oregonians, this is what we need to do:

1) Stop a second Trump presidency so that we can stop him from nominating three new Supreme Court justices should any of the current justices step down from the bench. If Trump has the opportunity, America will be stuck with an ultra-conservative majority SCOTUS for decades, putting our children and their children in peril for generations to come.

2) Elect Democratic majorities in the Oregon Legislature and in the U.S. House and Senate who will use their power to fight back against the extremist Project 2025 doctrine.

We can achieve these goals if we come together behind the Democratic Party’s winning grassroots strategy to get out the vote and propel Democrats to victory in every local, state and federal election in Oregon! But we need your help.
