BREAKING: Hospitals Would Be Forced to Publish Their Negotiated Rates in 2020 Under New Proposed Rules

Payment proposals released Monday afternoon by the Trump administration would require hospitals to disclose their negotiated rates beginning next year, a change that could dramatically shift the dynamic between healthcare payers and providers.

Under the proposed rule hospitals would have to make their 'real, negotiated prices known to patients.'

The proposed rules, if finalized, would take effect on January 1, 2020.
