The data submitted through Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) each quarter, which began last April, is used to determine this factor. Yes, additional staff time is also reported by PBJ, but only RNs, LPNs, nursing as-sistants, and medication technicians (where allowed by state practice acts) are used for the 5-Star staffing domain. Job code categories 5–12 are used for this reporting structure.
