Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) include injuries and conditions that can affect the back, joints and limbs.These can reduce a persons quality of life and can be developed, or made worse, through work. Employers have a legal duty to manage the risk of MSDs in the workplace. HSE offers two courses designed to equip employers and employee representatives with the knowledge to help recognise, assess and reduce MSD risks in their organisations. |
NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Manual Handling Risk Assessment This course will equip delegates with the knowledge to recognise, assess and reduce manual handling risks in their organisation.Additionally, as part of the course, delegates will complete the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Manual Handling Risk Assessment qualification, which will allow them to formally recognise their learning. 10 April 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 31 July 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 13 November 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 11 to 12 December 2024 | Live online | 560 per person | This course covers the key methods of assessing manual handling tasks, including the Manual Handling Assessment Charts (the MAC tool) and the Risk Assessment of Pushing and Pulling tool (the RAPP tool).
