Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) include injuries and conditions that can affect the back, joints and limbs. These can reduce a personâs quality of life and can be developed, or made worse, through work. Employers have a legal duty to manage the risk of MSDs in the workplace. HSE offers the following courses designed to equip employers and employee representatives with the knowledge to help recognise, assess and reduce MSD risks in their organisations. | The course provides an overview of the legal, moral and financial reasons why DSE risk management is so important. It looks at how we get injured in the workplace and how to achieve good posture at your workstation when working in the office, working from home or when you are on the move with DSE. 16 October 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 22 January 2025 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 18 March 2025 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | £560 per person |  | This course provides a solid introduction to ergonomics and the theory and techniques used to optimise the design of tools, tasks and workplaces.
