💻 'Back in the sixties we all used to meet up in here for the first couple of drinks, you could ring the bell in the side rooms and the waiter would come and take your order, great pub then and now'. Post reader Carol Lofthouse's memories of Preston's iconic, CAMRA award-winning Black Horse pub.

💻 In Oz, at my local hospital when you attended A&E, a triage nurse would determine your need, and if warranted would direct you to the house doctor area, where wait times for non-emergencies could be 7-9 hrs, it was amazing what a deterrent it could be for those who really didn’t need to be at A&E. LP reader Nicki Trigwell on her Australian A&E experiences, after NHS Lancashire pleas for people to avoid A&E if they can.
