Hello,

Tuesday lunchtime is when we round up the best of our planning and property news.

A public inquiry begins today into plans for a proposed new mosque on the outskirts of Preston.

The build-up has been fraught, with supporters of what would be known as the Brick Veil Mosque issuing a plea for a “respectful” discussion in response to what they claimed was some of the “false and potentially defamatory content” on a website - which appeared designed to mimic the design of a site set up to promote the proposal.

Elsewhere, Preston's skyline could be about to change yet again with another skyscraper planned for the city centre.

This time a 14-storey apartment block is being designed just yards away from the 16-floor Bhailok Court which is currently under construction.

As ever, we’ve got a look inside some of the top properties on the market, including this captivating canal-side stone cottage with period features and countryside views and a five-bed home that’s going under the hammer.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
