Quick tip of the day

Turn Google into a specific search engine for any website using just your keyboard’s Tab button. This works in Edge and Chrome.

  • Begin typing the address of the site you’d like to search. Google will automatically complete the URL if you’ve visited it in the past; otherwise, type out the entire URL (e.g., Komando.com).
  • Don’t hit Enter — instead, press the Tab key.
  • The URL will convert to a search engine for that particular website.
  • Now, type in your search term and hit Enter. Voila!

For Safari and Firefox, use this trick: Enter your search term, along with “site:” followed by the website you want to search. For example, you might put in “tech tips site:komando.com” to search my website for great tech tips.

AND FINALLY ...

Stop us if you’ve heard this one. “In life, only two things in life are certain: death and taxes.” As it turns out, even the threat of death isn’t enough to stop the IRS from demanding cash from taxpayers. 💀

You’d think a nuclear attack would give them more important things to worry about. No such luck. Get this: You’d still have to pay federal taxes if a nuclear war broke out. 💥

Even if a bomb goes off, the I.R.S. will come knocking at your door (at least within 30 days of detonation). Tap or click here to read the official nuclear attack plan. They’re truly prepared for anything!
