Good afternoon,

Following the Friday dash to interpret the new Covid-19 restrictions in Preston, it was a fairly quiet weekend in the city, with most abiding by the new regulations

Of course there are still lots of questions and we will endeavour to keep finding out the answers on your behalf and monitor the situation closely.

In Lancashire the number of cases has just tipped over 10,000.

As we start another week, non Covid-19 news is starting to build up, starting with our coverage of a fire in Lancaster this morning at a recycling centre plus we urge you to make the most of the warm weather today as a yellow weather alert is in force from midnight - you can see the Preston hour by hour forecast here.

On the transport front, we learn pop-up cycle lanes in Preston are not here to stay and about a transport boost to get children back on the bus to school in September.

And it may be tough times, but love is all around - as proved by a romantic couple who agreed to get McMarried in a local burger restaurant..

Have a great Monday and follow our live blog for all the latest news.

Don't forget you can subscribe to the website here.
