Hello, I hope you are rested and well after the weekend? If you were busy enjoying some family time, or some well deserved down-time, you may have missed the weekend's headlines. On Saturday, a Leyland man was bailed after being arrested on suspicion of raping a teenager in local park. The 18-year-old suspect, was taken into custody after a teenage girl reported being raped in Strawberry Valley Park in Bent Lane at around 4am on Friday. Catherine Musgrove revealed that planning chiefs look set to pull the plug on hopes of longer opening hours and live music sessions at a Bamber Bridge bar. Bosses at the newly renovated Lancs and Yorks bar in Station Road are currently only allowed to play live music after 5pm on any day, primarily due to the use of the first floor as office accommodation. The application now proposes to extend these hours from 10am to midnight Monday to Sunday. A Preston man’s puppy almost drowned after running on to an algae-infested canal thinking it was grass. Rob Leach was taking six-month old Kobi for a walk along the Ashton section of the Lancaster canal when the incident happened. He told how the pup was playfully running along the canal bank but then darted suddenly to the side and disappeared under the water. Until next time.
