SAINT JUNIPERO SERRA BRONZED STATUE
This is a beautifully detailed statue of the Franciscan Priest and Missionary, St. Junipero Serra founder of the first nine of 21 missions in California. Featured here in full Franciscan habit, standing on a boat and holding a tall cross to symbolize his arduous journey from Spain in late 1749. In his right hand he is holding a small Church symbolizing the many missions he founded. Canonized on September 23, 2015 by Pope Francis; we celebrate his feast day on July 1st. This statue is made of cold-cast bronze and measures 9"H.
