Hello!
Yes, I'm back in your inbox again this week! Had another idea I wanted to run by you.
Last weekend when I was in Ohio, I kept thinking about all the things that were out of my comfort zone back when I lived there.
Things like eating veggies
Proof that I now eat them occasionally . . .
And interviewing the greatest of the greats . . .
I had to buy a third mic because I'm interviewing a certain girl band tomorrow whose name starts with K and ends with -ella! (I was obsessed with one of their songs for months)
I could go on with the list of things that used to be outside my comfort zone that are now what I do on the daily.
And I bet you could too - right?
I ended up recording a solo round podcast episode about the benefits of going beyond your comfort zone last night.
I love Jessica Hagy's simple illustrations of big ideas on Forbes
The more I thought about "the comfort zone," the more I realized that:
Every thing I've accomplished that I'm proud of was (at one point) outside my comfort zone.
Sports, entrepreneurship, relationships, the podcast, sharing my story, etc.
Think about your life for a minute. Is the same true for you?
I'm guessing yes.
I'm curious to know what you're doing to PUSH yourself out of your comfort zone.
Reply here or hit me on social.
It's important to remember this.
Remember how you've already done A LOT in your life that was beyond your comfort zone?
The first time you went on a date?
Your job interview for the job you really wanted?
The blog post or Facebook comment where you were really telling the truth about your life?
And remember how you're still alive? And your confidence has increased? And your perspective has expanded?
Just in case you needed a reminder that going outside your comfort zone won't kill you, here it is.
I love the graphic above, because outside your comfort zone is really where the *magic* happens.
In fact, I'd say it's where everything you want the most lies.
K, that's it for today.
Talk soon!

P.S. Summit of Greatness tickets are still available but don't delay - hotels and flights are usually cheaper when booked a couple months out :)
