In Q1 2020, FinTechs around the world raised $10.11 billion in investments from 620 deals with a 13.5% QoQ decrease in total funding raised compared to Q4 2019. From 546 deals, FinTech startups were able to raise $11.69 billion in funding in Q4 2019. In terms of the number of deals, there was a growth of 13.55% QoQ in Q1 2020 compared to Q4 2019. It's interesting to note that the funding for FinTechs in Q1 2020 was majorly dominated by the top six segments in this quarter.

The Americas dominated the funding chart with $5.31 billion in funding raised from 288 deals, which is 52.55% of the global FinTech funding in Q1 2020. Europe came in at a distant second with $2.25 billion in funding from 178 deals. In Asia, FinTech startups managed to raise $2.24 billion from 129 deals.
