Fall Opening Celebration — The Philosophy Chamber: Art and Science in Harvard’s Teaching Cabinet, 1766–1820

Contemporary artist Simon Starling will discuss his practice as it relates to art, science, and technology. At 6pm, curator Ethan Lasser and Harvard professor Jennifer Roberts will join him in a conversation. Attendees are invited to a reception in the Calderwood Courtyard and to see the exhibition following the lecture. More

On the centenary of the Russian Revolutions of 1917, this series brings to campus three internationally distinguished historians of modern art who specialize in early Soviet art, film, and culture. 

After each lecture, our new installation What about Revolution? Aesthetic Practices after 1917 in the University Teaching Gallery on Level 3 will remain open until 8pm. More

After being nominated by 13 of her colleagues, Jessica Levin Martinez, director of our Division of Academic and Public Programs, was named a Harvard Hero—one of just 60 chosen in 2017 from across campus. More

Harvard student Eloise Lynton spent her summer researching many of the objects in the museums’ Student Print Rental Collection, gathering new information about the prints for the benefit of future student borrowers. More
