| Questions over Covid vaccine supply to UK |
| |
| | | Millions of people, more than 25 million in fact, have been vaccinated with the Covid jab so we seem to have been on a roll. Over-50s are the next in line to receive invites in England – and as Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the UK is showing it’s “ahead of schedule”. But we may be about to hit a stumbling block. We’ve been warned supplies are fragile and now it has emerged there could be a "significant reduction in the weekly supply" in England next month. It is understood a delivery of millions of doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca jab, produced by the Serum Institute of India, has been held up by four weeks. The government is facing questions over this latest development but the Department of Health insists it is still on track to offer a first dose to all adults by the end of July - however the NHS in England was then told not to offer jabs to younger age groups throughout April. We are yet to hear from the Serum Institute, the world's largest manufacturer of vaccines, which has agreed to supply 10 million doses for the UK. The rest of the AstraZeneca vaccines for the UK are being produced domestically. But the delay signals the rollout may take a bit longer. | |

| 'Do not resuscitate' decisions 'not discussed' |
| |
| |
| Hundreds of "do not attempt resuscitation" decisions made during the pandemic were not agreed in discussion with the person or their family, a report finds. Health watchdog, the Care Quality Commission, says Individuals' human rights may have been breached in 508 cases and is calling for urgent improvements in care planning. It found decisions made since March 2020 were not agreed in discussion with the person or their family even though the NHS says families should be consulted. | |

| Donald Trump's wealth takes tumble during presidency |
| |
| |
| Donald Trump's net worth dropped by about $700m to $2.3bn (£1.65bn) during his time as president, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The pandemic hit his fortunes hard, with Mr Trump's office buildings, branded hotels and resorts losing revenue and falling in value. His fleet of planes and golf courses have also seen drops in their value. Mr Trump is currently under a criminal investigation into his financial affairs and his family business. | |

| | | | | The family of a woman who died after a do-not-resuscitate order (DNR) was put in her records said they had no knowledge of the decision. Sonia Deleon, who had learning disabilities and schizophrenia, died in Southend University Hospital of a heart attack after contracting Covid-19. Miss Deleon's sister Sally-Rose Cyrille said her sister's life had been "written off". The hospital trust said the order had been agreed with Miss Deleon's family. Miss Deleon's sister, Sally-Rose Cyrille, contests this. "We had no consultation," she said. "At no point were we told that had taken place. "We would have disputed that and we would have said, 'we don't want that in place'." | |

A tough stance on migrants is being reported in the Daily Mail while the Daily Star believes the prime minister's former aide Dominic Cummings was “pulling all the strings”. | |
