From the desk of Dennis Weaver . . .

Last night, I brought three loaves of bread home. One I gave away. The other two, we'll enjoy. I placed little wax paper squares between the slices and froze them.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll stick a slice or two in the toaster, and enjoy fresh bread.

What do you do with your leftover pancake batter? The same thing, cook it and freeze it.

What about your leftover muffins?

I love having several kinds of muffins in the freezer. Nuke one for a few moments. It's an instant snack or an accompaniment to breakfast.

Homemade baked goods are too good to let get old.
