This is David with a quick update.

I just received an update from the Jewish Community leaders in Moldova. Unfortunately, today was even more challenging than they had expected. At the moment, there are approximately 5,000 Jewish or Israeli refugees in Moldova. Six hundred of them came in earlier today, including a Rabbi and his Community from Odessa. Many more are expected to arrive tomorrow...

In the below picture, you can see a car with a word that reads "ДЕТИ", which means "Children" in Russian. The word was spray-painted to specify who that bus carries and appeal to the mercy of the soldiers they could have come across.

The community members set up tents for newly arrived refugees. Many spent hours or even days traveling or waiting at the border. Many of them didn't have food or drink, and some needed medical support.

The local Jewish Community works tirelessly to help the incoming flow of people who don't have anywhere to go since the airports are not operating. These refugees need accommodation, food, water, and medicine for the upcoming week. If you did not get a chance to donate yet, please follow this link and help our fellow brothers and sisters.

DONATE NOW

Besides the needless deaths that this war continues to amass, one of the Russian airstrikes struck and damaged the Babi Yar Holocaust Memorial Center in central Kyiv earlier today. It was originally established in commemoration of the massive massacre of Ukrainian Jews in Babi Yar by the Nazis in 1941. It is excruciating to see that after all the destruction of the previous generation, the very place designated to remember it was hit once again.

Help us support those who can use it now.

From the bottom of our hearts - thank you.

Sincerely,

sig
