Sweet Girl’s Isabela Merced Gave Us Some Insight Into Her Character

Isabela Merced in Netflix's Sweet Girl

Sweet Girl is an important look at our healthcare system, those who want to exploit the sick to line their own pockets, and the pain that all puts on a family who is stuck in a healthcare system that doesn't seem to care who lives or dies.

Ted Lasso Season 2 Backlash Is Silly, but There Are Issues to Discuss

Jason Sudeikis points and smiles as Ted Lasso

It isn't a huge surprise that there is some backlash to the hit Apple Tv show Ted Lasso's second season. The critical acclaim it got took many by surprise and it was only through word of mouth that I even decided to give it a chance in the first place. I ended up loving it, but due to my hesitance, I got to binge-watch it. Get the whole Ted Lasso meal in one bite.

Now, like many, I am watching it weekly and the one glaring flaw of this season is the lack of an antagonist.

"I'm worried about a bunch of things. Not worried on Scarlett’s behalf. But I'm worried about small movies getting the opportunity to be seen in theaters," Olsen said. "That was already a thing pre-COVID. I like going to the movies and I don't necessarily want to see only an Oscar contender or a blockbuster. I would like to see art films and art house theaters. And so I do worry about that, and people having to keep these theaters alive."

The only person other than Patrick and his party that can be blamed for the uptick in numbers are the people that voted for them. Broken down by party lines, COVID-19 vaccinations are most hesitant among Republicans and that is a problem for everyone not just them.
