The Eurostat statistical agency says China accounted for 43% of EV imports into the European Union in 2021, followed by South Korea (20%), the U.S. (17%) and Mexico (10%).

There is some increase in the mix for (non-luxury) midsize cars and compact/midsize CUVs, so more affordability is creeping onto dealer lots. However, inventory growth in the lowest priced segments continues to trail far behind the rest of the industry.
