Randon T. Eddy is a Master Naturalist, wildlife enthusiast, and self-taught painter. She has been practicing the craft since she was a child, sketching scenes around her or painting with whatever paint she could find. She spent her early adult years teaching at colleges and university but not in the field of art.
While she was living in Liberia, West Africa as a Peace Corp volunteer, she started painting in watercolor. When she was out painting in small villages, she would attract the attention of the village children who would follow her around watching as she sketched, exclaiming with "OOOOOOH" as she progressed.
Randon is an award-winning artist. Among other awards, she received the Emmit Fritz "Best Painting" award in the Honors Show from St. Augustine Art Association in 2022. She was also awarded "Outstanding Acrylic" in the Bold Brush Aug. Art competition. Randon had the honor of 2 one-person art shows at J.N.Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. She sold enough paintings to go to Italy and start an on-going love affair with the country. She is the former president of the Sanibel/Captiva Art Association. Currently she is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, and The Art League of Daytona Beach.
Randon has paintings hanging in the permanent collection at: J.N.Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge education pavilion, The Sanibel Public Library, The office of the Director of the Children's Hospital in Boston, MA and many private collections across the country.
