51%: The number of passwords that an AI tool was able to crack in less than one minute. The program, called PassGAN, managed to figure out 65% of the passwords from a random list of 15 million within one hour and 81% in less than one month. The takeaway? Longer passwords with more random combinations of letters and numbers – at least 15 characters -- are much harder to crack.
