CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

It was a bloody week in the NFL, but which loss was the worst? All the Eagles had to do was beat the Dolphins to be tied for first, and while Jason La Canfora doesn't pin the Browns' defeat on Freddie Kitchens' shirt, he's got a very interesting take on it all. The Pick Six Superfriends also join me to size up the Pats' hard fall, the Ravens' big win and much more.
It took 13 weeks and it came in front of the smallest crowd in the history of Paul Brown Stadium, but the Bengals finally won, and they did it without hurting their chances for the top pick. John Breech gave the Bengals an 'A' as he graded every team's performance; it wasn't pretty for the Eagles, and here's how Drew Lock stacked up.
How quickly things change in the NFL. It wasn't long ago when the Pats looked like mortal locks for the AFC's No. 1 seed, but two losses later and not even the DIVISION is a sure thing. The Ravens are in the AFC driver's seat now, and I broke down the entire playoff picture; it's about to get wild down the stretch, especially if this happens for the Bills.

The Steelers are somehow right in the playoff picture (who needs healthy players?) with six wins in their last seven games, but apparently oddsmakers aren't that impressed. Pittsburgh opened at pick 'em against 3-8-1 Arizona, and John Breech breaks down that game and all the early lines; here's why you still might not want to bet on the Steelers.
Speaking of the beat-up Steelers, Jason La Canfora says they have NO BUSINESS being 7-5. After Big Ben's injury, the fallout with Le'Veon and A.B., and now with JuJu and James Conner out and a third-stringer named Duck at QB ... it's truly remarkable, and JLC says this is Mike Tomlin's most impressive work yet, plus he's got notes on the Titans, Ravens and more.
Tom Brady may be the undisputed G.O.A.T, but already this season we've seen him lose to Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson, and the Pats have a tough game vs. Patrick Mahomes on deck. Jonathan Jones says the future of QB play in the AFC is bright with those three, but here's why it's not exactly the same as the Brady-Peyton Manning-Big Ben trio that came before.
The Patriots are 10-2 and 'not 2-10' as Tom Brady reminded everyone, yet TB12 isn't exactly lighting it up this season. Is that because of New England's lack of talent at receiver? Brady certainly wasn't happy with them in the Pats' loss to the Texans, as you can tell from this earful he gave his WRs during the game.
