NATIONAL: Worldwide experiential marketing agency George P. Johnson has promoted Fiona Bruder to president of its North and South American operations. Bruder, who has been with the company for more than 20 years, will oversee all integrated production, digital engagement, strategy, creative and more.

AUSTIN: Taking place March 16-20, South by Southwest (SXSW) has named Brightcove as its official video partner for the all-digital SXSW Online and SXSW EDU activities. Brightcove plans to keep attendees engaged by allowing SXSW to be streamed on TVs, giving each "stage" its own channel and more.

DENVER: Sheraton Denver Downtown has unveiled an $80 million renovation to its guest rooms, lobby, and public and meeting spaces. The hotel has 1,236 rooms and 133,000 square feet of meeting space.

ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: InfoComm 2021 has been rescheduled for Oct. 23-29 in Orlando; it was previously slated for June. According to the Audiovisual Integrated Experience Association, organizers made the decision to postpone based on vaccine rollout, economic indicators, travel restrictions and other factors.

MIDDLEBURG, VA: Food & Wine magazine and Salamander Hotels & Resorts are teaming up for The Family Day reunion, a multiday event presented by Kwame Onwuachi that celebrates diversity in the hospitality community. Taking place Aug. 19-22, the gathering will including cooking classes and demonstrations, wine tastings and dinners, and panel discussions with Carla Hall, Edouardo Jordan, Mashama Bailey and other top chefs, sommeliers and industry leaders. Event tickets go on sale in April.
