Falling apart: New Orleans' crumbling infrastructure is evident throughout the city, and that deterioration is just as prevalent in the public facilities and government offices as it is out on the roads, bridges and sidewalks. In the newest installment of our Broken City series, Joseph Cranney has a look at the $200 million backlog of maintenance needed throughout the hundreds of police and fire stations, government offices, public health clinics, homeless shelters, cemeteries, courthouses, libraries, pools, parks and other facilities.

Burglar booked: A man suspected in numerous Uptown burglaries and recently shot by police is out of the hospital and has been booked for a string of alleged crimes. Missy Wilkinson has the story.
