•	(Another) Super Tuesday is over, and you've already read plenty about that. Today's big political story: President Obama is set to announce his Supreme Court nominee -- a candidate Congressional Republicans have already said they'll reject, sight unseen. [Michael Sheer \| The New York Times]
•	Meanwhile in Silicon Valley, Washington continues to fight Apple. U.S. officials have accused Apple of making "special accommodations" around iPhone security to appease Chinese authorities (and thus sell more iPhones in China). Apple says that's B.S. [Dawn Chmielewski \| Re/code]
•	One more political story: The FCC looks like it's going to approve Charter's acquisition of Time Warner Cable, creating a video + broadband player with enough heft to challenge Comcast. Part of the deal involves conditions that are supposed to boost online video: Charter will be prevented from keeping TV programmers from selling their stuff on the on the Web, and will be encouraged to increase its broadband offerings. •	Snapchat has hired its first ever Product VP: Tom Conrad, a longtime Pandora exec who was head of product and CTO by the time he left the company back in 2014. It's an important appointment for Snapchat, which needs to keep growing to validate its $16 billion valuation. We'll see how well Conrad meshes with CEO Evan Spiegel, who has been very hands-on with Snapchat's product up until now. [Kurt Wagner \| Re/code]
•	Instagram is going to change the way it shows you photos -- instead of lining them up chronologically, it will show you ones it thinks you like. It's the same method Twitter is starting to employ, too. [Mike Isaac \| The New York Times]
